Dear Kitah Gimmel parents:
We are continuing are study of people from the Torah in the previous lesson we learned about the story of Joseph is shown signs of favoritism by his father, Jacob; specifically he is given a beautiful coat. Joseph’s brothers, the rest of the Twelve Tribes, are jealous of this special relationship. That jealousy is only deepened when Joseph has symbolic dreams of his impending reign over the rest of the family. When Joseph meets the brothers in the pasture, they take the opportunity to sell him into slavery, and he ends up in Egypt. They douse Joseph’s coat in animal blood and tell Jacob that he must have been killed by wild animals.
In Hebrew we continued practicing reading and the recognition of final letters. We played reading games and reviewed the Hebrew vocabulary we learned so far. Our Hebrew homework will be on line here are the instructions:
Click on the link http://www.behrmanhouse.com/students than click on the arrow in the box that says Practice Hebrew, from there you go to lessons. Click on lesson 7 on the left box, do the same for lesson 8. When your child completes his or her homework please send me an email or write a note that they did their homework.
Hope to see you all this upcoming Sunday.
All the Best
