Dear Families,
Today we looked at Thanksgiving from the perspective of a Jewish person. Please ask your child to tell you about brave Rivka in the story Rivka's First Thanksgiving. How did she bring her family their very first Thanksgiving?
I hope you've seen the "thankful" turkeys that your child brought home. We practiced one way to say "I am thankful" with "Ani asir todah" (m) or "Ani asirat todah" (f). Please ask your child if he/she can say it to you.
At the end of today's T'filah, our madrichim presented several charities that will be tzedakah donation options. Each student then voted for one or two that they thought were important for our money to support. The votes will be tallied, and the organizations will be announced soon.
We wish you all a peaceful and enjoyable Thanksgiving. We will see you when CJL classes resume on Dec. 2.
L'hitraot,
Cherie & Ilana
